I've tried hydrogen peroxide on some fags and rocks in the past , the bryopsis comes right back.
That has been precisely my recent experience, unfortunately. And it comes back in exactly the same place. I saw a reference another reefer made about breaking open a rock with Bryopsis and finding ?rhizomes? growing into the rock an inch or two. If that's accurate, it might explain why this stuff is so hard to get rid of - even if you can find something that will eat it, it just grows back from embedded "roots".
My plan for this evening is taking rocks, corals and clams out of my 50, scrubbing the patches and applying 7.5% H2O2 with a brush and pipette to keep it from completely taking over. But more interesting might be the results of deliberately ramping my 20 up to 1.028 and holding it there for a week. There are certainly some corals in it I'd hate to lose, but no clams or crustaceans that might get nuked from hypersalinity.
