Ok... So I thought I had GHA, and was working on getting rid of it... (Will be tackling manual removal tonight as best I can...
Here's my problem...
I was doing some looking online, and I think it may be bryopsis... but I can't really tell, Mine is long whispy "feather like" algae, it has a very thin central stalk, and little whispy hairs growing out from that...
The pics of GHA I saw online looked like either blades of grass, or green cobwebs.
Is there a surefire way to tell the diff? I can't post a pic yet cause I'm at work...
Would the treatment be the same for either? Or is it completely different?
It's a 29g tank, running the skimmer now, getting some light green skimmate, RO/DI or distilled water only, have a clump of chaeto in the fuge, lights on from 3pm-9pm, shortened from 1pm-9pm. Ammonia, trites, and trates all 0. PH 8.4, temp at 75-77 degrees. 25lbs dry rock, 5.5lbs live rock... I have a few small snails, and a few small (tiny) red/blue leg hermits...
Thoughts or opinions?
Thanks!
