BTA advice

Hey guys!

I would like a few opinions on transferring 3 BTA's on a rock from my 28 nano to my new 70 gallon. The 70 has been set up since mid October. From my previous experiences it was recommended to me to wait for a year before adding any BTA's. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Drew

If the new tank is cycled there should be no reason not to add them. They aren't as delicate as SPS corals. Just make sure your tank is cycled and showing zero amonia and nitrite and you should be good to go. I wonder why someone would tell you a year. I'm guessing you are already adding corals at least softies

The people in the Anemone section warn to not add an anemone until the tank is at least a year old because other species are delicate and very expensive, BTA are pretty hardy. I added one to my tank and its not a year old, its doing great and hosting my clownfish.

Right on thanks for the advice guys. I added them today. I put the filter on the vortech powerhead just in case they decide to relocate. Thanks again!

If you're gonna keep sps, wait until the nem is well settled before adding pieces. Bta and sps don't mix well at all
