BTA already hosting :)

Bought a GBTA yesterday to put in one of my tanks and wasn't expecting much in terms of hosting any time soon. Was in the kitchen looking at the tank wondering how long it would take for my clownfish to become interested, came back a half hour later to find this :) what a nice surprise.

Nice! when I got a new ocellaris for my bta, it took about half a second :lmao:
Also, anemone seems somewhat bleached (could be the camera for all i know), but seems to be a very nice one other than that

It is a little on the bleached side, the lights at the LFS weren't very good, but is it is darker in person than in the picture. So it should color right back up. It's got a beautiful dark red base.

Mine likes the back of my HOB overflow... I have 3 2RBTAs and 1 GBTAs....

That's too bad. It took the clowns in my 39 gallon tank almost 6 months before they noticed all the RBTAs I had in there for them. I wasn't expecting much of anything from this clownfish at all being that he's captive bred. I thought it would take forever.

I have paired perculas & it took the female 6 days to find the RBTA, She was rubbing on the nem like crazy! & she didn't let the male in for about 2 weeks.

On a related topic, once the clownfish start hanging out somewhere, any idea what triggers them to hang out somewhere else? In my specific example, I purchased from a fellow reefer his two clown fish + RBTA. When we were removing the items from his tank, the two clown fish were literally hiding in the RBTA. However, now that the three items are in my tank, the clown fish have decided to hang out in a candy cane coral, even though their old friend, the RBTA, is in the tank.

Any ways to get them to "unhost" from the candy cane? Or in the scheme of things, does it matter and just let the clownfish do whatever they want?

thanks!
