bta and carpets

i have a 20gl i have a bta in my 55 is cycled but im waiting on my lights to be delivered. is it ok to keep the carpet in the 20gl for about 3days without problems?

No offense, but if your tank just cycled it's likely that you will loose both (especially the carpet).

no my 20 has been running for 6 months and the 55 has been running for 5 it just does'nt have the right lighting on the 55. i have lights on the way for the 55. just wanted to know if the carpet could stay in the 20 for 3 days till the lights get here.

I don't see why not. They need a stable environment and clean water, size really shouldn't be an issue assuming he's not scrunched up in there. What kind of carpet...haddoni? If so, depending on the types of light you do have on the 55, I would be tempted to just go straight to his final home. I think the stress of multiple moves will be worse than having low light for a couple days. Once he settles in feed him to make up for the lack of light.
