i dont care what that guy said in the comments that fish was dead before it ever hit that anemone. you can clearly see no movement out of the yellow tang and thats from an anemone that has a teeny tiny baby sting compared to a carpet anemone and ive witnessed plenty of fish wiggle free from the grasp of carpet anemone. so if a fish can wiggle free out of a carpet anemone why would you see no movement from a large strong fish stuck in a very mild stinging anemone like the bta. i call complete and utter bull ****.

Weak fish or overcrowded tank is usually the cause of this.

Agreed... My tang has stings on from a crispa which has way more sting than bta and never gets caught. He gets these little spots on him from messing with my clowns all the time.. Now I have a gig in the tank he dont mess with the clowns no more.

Like the others, there is no way a "healthy" tang is going to be caught by a shrimp. And especially a yellow.. It would rip a shrimp to pieces! The tang was probably on its last breath, or should I say, last fin flip.

Sorry about the loss of the tang though.. I won't say b.s., as, lol, it's harsh.. But they're right.. The poor fish was basically gone when the person saw the shrimp grab it. And the shrimp, like crabs are either opportunistic or symbiotic. It basically saw a free meal for its friend(the Condi) and gave it to it.. But the tang was already gone..

It's the way of nature unfortunately.. Sorry for the loss once again..

Yeah I noticed that it was dead also, I just didn't think that a bta that size could eat something that large. If so I'm feeding mine way too small of pieces.

Yellow tang in a 30 gallon tank?

+1 on stressed fish because of lack of space...

Plus how the nem is placed makes it a pretty sharp turn even for the best swimmers...
Those clownfish look cunningly happy too ... lol [emoji16]
