?

Why is my BTA eating my Dalmatian Molly? I could have swore I read a thread where people were saying anemones don't eat fish

Of the fish is dead let him eat it. He probably got it when it was already dead. Or the molly could have swam into the anemone not knowing any better because they are a freshwater fish.

Anemones certainly eat fish. In the wild, they mostly consume small shrimp and other zooplankton. Close proximity in our tanks greatly increases the chance of them getting a fish. BTA's are one of the weaker anemones, but they can still take an occasional fish. Carpet anemones (gigantea, haddoni, magnificent, etc.) on the other hand can be expected to take fish in our tanks.

I feed mine silversides once a week or two. They love eating dead fish hunks

A lot of experienced nem keepers have lost their nems to silverside feedings, still not certain why exactly, but there are better alternatives, scallop, mysis, raw shrimp.

I would suspect the molly was weak or clueless

Mags aren't known fish eaters, and they aren't a carpet anemone either. They are from the heterectis genus, same as malu, crispa, and aurora.

BTA's won't eat your fish unless it's already dead or really weak.
