I understand that a lot of changes are bad for nems and that recently a lot of changes did occur.
I've done so much research on bta's, I knew I was probably feeding too much. Every time I fed it though it would eat like it was starving.. Will defiantly cut back on the direct feeding.
Moderate lighting? Exactly how do I measure my lighting in low - high levels? I agree that lighting could be the issue but wouldn't it be better to change one thing at a time and see how it reacts over a week or so? That I can pin point exactly what the causes were.
Sg is 1.024, sorry I did measure that but forgot to type it in. My salinity never changes more than .001, so it's always either 1.024 - 1.025. No issues there that I can see.
I do my water changes religiously! Probably the most important thing I can do for my tank, I've never missed a wc, and always done on the same day. New water is mixed and left for at leased 6hrs but 90% of the time I leave it to mix for 24hrs. I'm due for a wc tomorrow so will be making the water today and adding it tomorrow.
As far as % of water I do per week, I think it could be closer to 15% per week, possibly 20. I might find out exactly how much I do today and report back. Is it bad to do more than 10% per week? I find it hard to clean the sand bed before the water change it complete, sometimes I've had to do half one week and the other half the next but I hated the look of the tank with 50/50 white and brown sand.
But yeah will as stated report back with exact amount of water I do a week.
Thank you so much for your time!
