Hi everyone,

We have a bubble tip anemone that does not seem to be doing well. He was added on Friday and has been eating and yesterday we found him with this tenti lcles deflated and his column up. We have removed him from the tank but kept him on his favorite rock. He has not moved from the rock and is not bleached or secreating mucus of any kind. Yes he has proper lighting of T5 and my water is perfect. We did just add in two clown so I am hoping this is just stress from them . Please let me know what I can do for him.Photos are attached below.

He's probably just adjusting to his new environment--4 days isn't much time. I'd put him back in the tank and just keep a close eye on him. How long did you acclimate? I think they're pretty sensitive.

The anemone's deflate every so often They are essentially membrane bags filled with water. When they change their water they shrink down like the picture and then re-inflate. I would not be too concerned as long as he is not deflated for an extended period of time.

My anemone deflate every few days for 30-60 minutes but always re-inflate and look great. My water parameters are good have T5 lighting and from everything I have read this is normal as long as it is not for an extended time period. or detached floating around/laying upside down.
