BTA or magnfica?

I'm buying this nem and clown pair tomorrow. The owner says it is an 16" to 18" BTA, but I'm thinking it could be a magnifica based on the pic he sent me.
What do you guys think?
Either way, I'm very excited about this one! (Sorry the pic is so large.)

I would say bta too, but without seeing how the foot is placed or a closeup it could be either. The way the tentacles are shaped and that it isn't higher or up the glass makes me say BTA

My thoughts are BTA as well, but the bottom half sure does look 'magnifica' like with the purple looking foot/column exposed.
Per the color in the pic, I wonder if this could be considered a 'yellow' BTA?
I can't wait to see it in person tomorrow afternoon!

Here we go again!...... it looks like a bta from tentacles, but a magnifica from underneath, i have never seen a bta with a purple base before..... you need a better pic (closeup) of the foot.

I wouldn't consider it a "yellow" BTA, the whole tank looks a bit yellow to me -- could be the lights. Plus, pictures can be hard to tell, the white balance could be off, or anything like that.

Here are two pictures of my BTA ( before I sold it ) there is a big color difference just from using the flash.

I'm not going to say what it is, because I honestly don't know. I hope you don't mind, but I cropped and enlarged the photo. The tentacles look BTA, the column looks Magnifica, and it seems as though some of the tentacles may be arranged in rows like Magnifica. I think we need more pics.

My vote is BTA. I have seen two or three purple based BTAs like this in the past year. i even got fooled in the LFS and bought one. Woke up the next morning and it had huge bubbles .... lol. Either way it looks great and you should buy it!!

Thanks guys. Yep, for $40 (including the clowns) its a pretty good deal ;)
He's had it for a year but needs to break down his tank.
I'll post pics once it acclimates and looks its best in my tank.
Maybe its a one of those extremely rare bubblenifica or a magnibubble anemones :)

dont be surprised if it splits into 3 or 4 anemones immediately after moving, Very nice anemone though.

bubblnifica=LOL :):D

$40 for the nem and the clowns?!?! That is an amazing deal! My LFS would sell me that for $200..... :sad2:

i got one for sale in jersey

i got one for sale in jersey

its about 3 or 4 inches and they def dont like strong lightening. the tentacles bleached.

Hi guys. This nem is still acclimating and not ready for pics yet.
I will say it is definately a BTA, but a HUGE one! The biggest I've ever seen.
I should have taken pics when I went to pic it up. It was at least 18" in diameter and perfect! Its foot encompassed 3 rocks making it a bit difficult to get out of the tank. I had to remove it with its foot still attached to two rocks , and unfortunately, the foot tore a few inches during transport.
The nem appears to be doing okay even with the tear, getting fuller and fuller as time goes on, but its not anywhere nears its best.
I'm pretty sure it is will turn out green and it has a gorgeous purple/magenta based.
I'll post pics ASAP.
Sean
