my bta split on monday and 2 days after one of halfs decided to roam around and it anchor it self on the top part of the tank.away from light and flow is this normal or could it be that my clownfish might be agitating it too much.

Do you have any pictures of it splitting? How long did that whole process take? BTA will move till they find a spot they like, I'm finding out.

Give it time and it will find it's spot. I had one that would get up to the top right in front of the HOB output. I would take him off and put him on the rock and the next day, he would be back. I just left him and he eventually went back to the rock. Just keep an eye on him and make sure that he is not dying. If he does, he can poison your tank for a bit.

This is a pic of my GBTA, in the process of splitting. Split can last from a couple of days to a week.
