I have a BTA that will only come out at night When the lights are off. I have A have a 210 gallon tanks with a carpet and LTA. There doing very well my tank has been up and running for 3 years my lights are MH and PC. Does this sound normal for the BTA.

Not normal. Could you post a pic? Maybe some parameters? If nothing else, there could be some chemical warfare there.

It's now hiding behind the rock work but I do see it open up at night

How long have you had the BTA? Also, what kind of light was it under before purchase and what lighting do you have now? Could be adjusting to stronger lighting??

I have Had it for about 2 weeks it was under T5 I have MH 150watts x3 and PC 96watts x4.
