Bubble Coral behavior

Ok, this is a new coral to me so I'm not sure what is normal with it. Do they deflate temporarily (sic) at time during the day. Mine did it a couple of times today. seemed to swell more now the actinics are the only lights on. At first I thought my Cherub might have pecked at it, but it may do it if the fish just swims over it. Or is this just stress from its move to my tank (last night it had its feeding tentacles out in all their glory0.
Any info is appreciated.

Matthew (thanks in advance..)

What you saw at night are most likely sweeper tentacles. Are there any other corals around it? When first placed in the tank it will need to adjust to its new environment. It is not uncomon for them to expand and contract in the begining. When it is fully expanded try tucking some small pieces of food between its bubbles.

No, or maybe there were some sweepers but it looked like the nighttime pics I've seen in books. anyway, this morning it was fully inflated by the time the actinics got switched on. A real show stopper along with my purple Wellsophyllia ( T. radiata). Love this coral.
Would a chunk of silverside be an appropriate midnight snack? From the looks of the tentacles, it could take something more than the resident zooplankton in the tank..
What do you guys feed yours?

Matthew

oops.. Forgot to add there are no other stony corals near it on the lefthand side of my reef. There is one Rhodactis 'shroom but not close. It seems like it was just getting the feel of the tank. Interesting behavior in an animal without a brain.

Silversides would be great. I don't believe they care about plankton. I switch back and forth between fish and shrimp.

Yeah, looks like it could take a silverside, or maybe a capelin. I'll give it a try.

Thanks,
Matthew
