Bubble King Skimmer Club

The BK 300 Ext would be more than plenty to handle that size system. Price on that one is $2446. There is no need to go to a 400 Ext for that size system. HTH!

If it were my system I would do the Mini 160, however I know most people on the boards would say at Mini 180 at minimum. Personally, I do not like to oversize skimmers at all. In my opinion, a 6" diameter body skimmer that is well designed can easily handle a 100g system that is heavily stocked. I think you would be more happy with the performance you get out of the 160 over the 180 on that size tank.

thanks very much for your input jeremy. ill order it along with a couple of boxes of KZ salt. ill send an email prior.

Hi Jeremy,

I was wondering, for the SM250, do you carry any extra impellers on your site and what other spare parts would you recommend that i order for the pump? Im from the philippines like mrvicz so it would be very difficult to ship the pump back and forth should it get damaged!

Thanks!

Ryan

Hi Ryan, I do not have the impellers on the web, however we do have them. I'd also suggest picking up an extra bearing for the motorblock as well, which is pretty inexpensive.

Wow, the music and the images of the brand new Bubble King in that video makes me want to get up, and skim! Great job on the video .

I have a mini180 gen2. The pump recently died on me and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the warranty is one or two years. My local dealer says 1year while some online sources says 2. Thanks.

Hey Jeremy you seem to be the tech Guy for these Skimmers hehe I've got kinda a stupid question on my BK mini 200 I purchased yesterday. It skimmed for a few hrs then I noticed this very loud humming noise coming from my stand. It obviously is the skimmer cause I unplugged it and it went away. Then plugged it back in then it would be fine for a hour or so then start humming again.. any ideas?? Also in my Skimmer compartment it has like a 9.5" water height. Is this to high? If so what do you reccomend for raising the Skimmer off the floor?

Join the club. Mine did the same thing only it sounded like something grinding. For right now instead of unplugging the skimmer put your finger over the air silencer hole for 3-5seconds and it should clear, but if like mine it will return. I have already went through one new motor block, two pinwheel assemblys and a new air venturi and always the same. I have noticed that my air venturi fits real loose in the body. I think this is the cause but proline had me send it in to PA and have it checked. Won't know until MACNA is over and they get time to test it. Mine would run from 24-36hrs+ and then bam, the noise.
