NAGA, did all of those come with single drains? Just wondering if any are coming with duals still or if Klaus has run out of supply for the duals and is now doing singles on all models. I wish my 300 was on this shipment but I have to wait until the next one.

sorry, ...the first prototype DC-Motor was to weak. We have a new motor built with double torque. The first attempt is started only next week. The attempt should be successful, i send pictures here in in RC.... The new DC Motor is running with 24 Volt and 5.000 rpm/h maximum-speed. First DC motors is running only outside water, in the future (next year) we development a DC motor for diving in saltwater.... the DC-motors are very,very silent... i renember, the US-reefers say .... deadsilent ? ...

30 % is to small... I hope to save 50 % at electricity. Otherwise the development is not worthwhile itself.
The DC-Motor on picture is running under 500 Watt and make 8.000 gallons flow, the flow pressure is 15 meters ( i dont now, how many feet it is .. ) So we testing new impellers for make 11.000 gallons, by 10 meter flow pressure, by +/- 400 Watt energy-consuption.. Te first diving-pumps are for koi-Ponds, the next Step is for saltwater....and speedregulation skimmer Needlewheel-pumps....

Klaus, i thought the testing was being done by a BK dealer as well as a Deltec dealer on the Deltec dealer's reef tank. That is because his system was approx 2000 gallons with a heavy bio-load.

This is the inside info I was told about the skimmer competition. First off though, I beleive the test was stopped because of the rain, we had a long we rainy season and I think there were aldo problems with a leaky sump (on a system with an auto top-off system) followed by a tank crash due to low salinity. Funny thing is, I don't think either skimmer was going to out perform the Aqua C. If you remember in the test The Deltec was to meet up head to head with the Aqua C in the first round, then all of a sudden it was replaced because a customer needed the Deltec (because of an emergency) at the last minute. The Deltec dealer had 20 skimmers on hand but the person needed that skimmer? To top it off the Aqua C was only in the competition only becase the previous owner had nothing but problems with it and replaced it with the Deltec. Turns out that if the owner wouldn't have plugged the overflow drain she would have had a rockin skimmer. The BK did have problems in preliminary tests but that is because it was said that the skimmer was taking at least a week just to get going after a cleaningand since the test was only over a 2 week period, it would not be a fair test. I do however think that seemed wierd and it was probably due to user error (BTW the BK rep was tuning it). The user was new to the skimmer at that time. I'm not bashing the BK skimmer at all because If i had the money, that is probably the skimmer that I would choose because I personnaly feel that it might just be the best ever skimmer made. My question is, does it's performance justify the price, at least 5x that of a decent performing US made skimmer? I'm not so sure. I'm pretty sure that my Aqua C will pull out at least half of what the BK does. I might just go with 2 Aqua Cs and save my money. JMHO!

thanks for the 100% correct information ....
so i see by tester in ReefFrontier, nothing Testequipment : .... energy-consuption-tester, Ampermeter, Flow-Meter , Air-intake-meter, Colorimeter, Pressure-meter and so on.... so we have all this parts here... for testing BK-Skimmers and another skimmers...

When I clean the collection bucket and do a simple wipe down of the main body I'd say it takes minutes to show a good foam head that looks the same as before the cleaning.
It took me no more than a couple days to get good performance from mine and less than two weeks to get it dailed in to where I want it to run.

Klaus I noticed the necks on your skimmers to be smaller than
an H&S or Deltecs.Is there a particular reason why , since you skimmers seem to produce alot of air mixture ?

the necks on with the 500's are larger than the others. I can't say for sure about the smaller ones but, I know the larger ones are bigger.
