WOW is all I can say to that.

:(

I might be willing to accept the PITA design of having my pump mounted inside the skimmer body for a red dragon pump, but I don't think I would accept it for a cheap chinese knock off pump. I think the bulk of what makes a skimmer great is pump and here, I doubt you will get Red Dragon performance out of it.

But still, what and interesting find. Amazing.

It looks pretty cool but ya I don't think I've want to worry about getting to the pump.....esp a cheap one like that.

On a side note I love reading those auctions. The English translation is so ridiculous its funny. I know what they're trying to say its just funny how they say it.

Quote from the action page-"Editor Choice: Personnlly, BM100 bottles are compare with SchuraX 100 and H & X 110 a lot, since the bottle size bigger, the skimmer to make bubble meantime, mixture with the water, longer time to more attached with the dirt. It’s repect as a “response and reaction time."

I was looking for some cheap acrylic tubing when I stumbled across it. The design seems nice and it reminded me of the BK and new octo's.

The picture of the foam on the other skimmer seems nice as well and for the price of a seaclown it might be a good option for some reefers.

I should also not I do not skim but for those that do, I just wanted to pass on some information on a new product that is very affordable.

Maybe someone will buy it and give it a whirl and a write up

It appears that the bottom will unscrew so it should be very easy to get to the pump if a problem arises. I agree on the English but I buy stuff from HK all the time on the bay- and no matter the product it is usually butchered.

Wanna be BK

Aren't they 220-240v?

Unless they configured it for 120v at 60hz, they are 220v for sure. I don't know why they'd advertise them in the states unless they ran on our current though...

Luke I have no idea? I was looking for some cheap acrylic when I stumbled across it. Most of his sales/feedbacks come from the US so I would say they would work with our electric. Someone might shoot him an email. Still very interesting for the money! The non bubble plate skimmer also says Italian pump? You know way more about pumps and design so you might have a guess. Either way it seems to be a new inexpensive skimmer coming to market.

These have been around for a while. I first saw pics over a year ago. There is also a cone design like the ATB's. Similar name different website.

Wow.... i love the Chinese Copyshops......

It must suck for you and I am sure in no way is as good of build or performance as yours but I am sure for the money it would out produce most skimmers in that price range. I am just basing it on design, I have never seen or used one. I just wanted to pass some information on too some people that could not afford the more expensive brands.

I should not have compared it to your line and should have shot for Octopus extreme line. I am sorry if I offended you. good luck

Well, I know there 220-240v's so i wouldn't advise newbies to buy them as they will be dumbfounded when they receive them. The atman pump's are pretty terrible imo as well. They do look apealing though and the price is right. I'll send an email and see what they say about 120v.

I love the mix of colors that they used:eek1: :eek2:

I think I am going to put this skimmer on my 200 gallon sps system that I have about 10K invested in NOT:confused:

They didn't have 120v when I checked. Luke, interesting that you slam the Atman pumps. I'm not saying they are good ... I have never used or even seen them. But I wouldn't say they are terrible either.

So, how many and which models have you tested? Can you post the results or photos?

I have an atman that is 325gph, not much of a pump imo, looks and acts exactly like a via aqua 1300 pump. Maybe the larger atman's are nicer, but not so much the smaller one's. I just use it to feed my octo now. It never has startup problems though, so thats a plus, even with two layers of mesh. And it'll run around 10w.

Still, i'd be scared as well to run one of these skimmers on my tank.

Luke let us know what they say. If it looks good then give it a whirl for a test. I do not skim my tank so I will leave this thread to those that do.

I just wanted to point out a newer inexpensive skimmer! good luck

A G3?? and you are shooting down this design?
