You are going to need to cut them. They look like they can be replaced easily though.

I would also like to be considered for any possible beta testing on a recirc model. I would have considered the BM250 already, but my skimmers must be run external (not enough room in sump after refugium and reactors). An externally run BM would be high on my list of considerations.

Also make sure when you put your pump on that your reducer is not coming down and letting more water in. I found that sometimes while putting the rubber foot on that the reducer will come down or off in some occaisions. I wrapped it in teflon to keep it in place.
Also i have a correction, I had just under 2 litres of skimmate there. The whole thing probably holds 3.8 litres +- .3 litres for my error.

it's work the same as my modify pump work at the begin the bubble not steady and after it's break in the bubble more steady and the water level in the skimmer body go up.
i have a lot of things to check and to review but first i will let it break in for one more day.
the first thing i check it was the air that those 2 pumps pull meantime it's between 20 l/min from my experience with the mesh material after one day it will increase .
with my gen x pump i pull 22l/min .
