Bubblemagus NAC7 pump question

I would really like to switch out the pump on my BM NAC7 skimmer. Has anyone used any Eheim pumps instead, or any other good pump for that matter? I would like something quieter and with no start up issues. What else will fit?

Sicce 600 will be a perfect replacement. Anything else will take some modification.

does the sicce600 mount perfect inside the cone? do you have to make any mod for the venturi, bubble plate etc...? thx
