buble coral not doing well

Seems that my prized bright nuclear green bubble coral isn't doing so well.

It has been in my tank for a few weeks and has been looking great. this morning I noticed that the rear 3/4 is all skeleton with just the front showing some signs of inflating, though minimal.

The parameters on the system are all good, salinity at 35ppt.

I recently switched over to MH from T5s. the PAR numbers on the bottom of the tank where the bubble is are not much higher than before.

The part of the coral that is hanging in there is slightly shaded.

I'm thinking of:
(1) coral dip 10 minutes
(2) feed daily with faun Marin LPS food
(3) move to shaded location.

any other thoughts?

I'm not an expert by any means... but too much flow was definitely my issue. The tissue eventually detached itself from the skeleton and I'd see it every now and again as it would settle into a crevice or the current would wedge it between 2 rocks. But I haven't seen it in a couple of months now.

Once you have solved the flow problem, you might try feeding it. Mine responds to target feeding every few days.

IMO/IME Plerogyra will handle massive flow. Feed them regularly and give them bright light. Good water params are a must. This coral is difficult to completely kill and they can regenerate from 'nothing'.

I have seen excessive flow kill a few bubble corals, I am sure they could grow accustomed to it after a while, but going from a low flow setting to high will not work out well.
