Build log: My 360G Mixed Reef [56k beware]

Well, I must apologize for the lack of updates :hmm2:. Thank you for the comments! The tank has been through some changes since my last update so I hope I can get some good updates in the next few weeks as I go through my equipment for cleaning.

Here is a FTS I took tonight. Sorry for some of the blurry fish and photo quality. I really need to invest in a good camera, to get this one took 30 shots :).

Is using the eurobraces stronger than the cross braces? I would have assumed that a center cross brace would still be needed in a tank that size. There is no bowing?

Thanks for all the kind comments! :)

Here is a FTS with the halides on. The RBTAs are out and the two clowns are enjoying themselves.

and for fun... the first FTS from page 1. That is 27 months ago!

I wish I could find someone to build me a 500 to 600 gallon glass tank with euro bracing only. Everyone I talked to said they had to put the cross bracing no matter what.

Great build I will come along for the ride.

After work I stopped by ReefStock. A lot of great companies, coral farmers, and hobbyists in attendance. It was a great event!

I couldn't come back home empty handed so after browsing around this is what I settled on. I have been looking for a nice red Acanthophyllia for a while. :bounce2:

While I was at the downtown aquarium I also had a goal. To see a batfish that was at my work for well over a year and a half but had been released into the largest tank at the aquarium earlier in the week. Not all fish that go into this tank make it. One of the barracudas almost had lunch when it was released...

After standing in one spot for a good amount of time he arrived!

I am not sure if he recognized me or not but he hung out for a while by the glass showing perfect posture :)

After a steak lunch two of the tigers sit on the ledge and spectate the tourists

Thanks!

Things have been on cruise control for the last few months. I haven't really touched anything other then general maintenance. Now that stuff is growing together I am having to remove some of the softies and go towards a more sps dominant reef.

These are two decent actinic shots I caught before the lights went out yesterday.

A Blue tipped green milli. Great polyp extension on this coral.
