If you have a suggestion please let me know. I've ran every type of lighting out there except T5. I love metal halide, with led supplementation. I have a 660 ballast with endcapps but I need reflectors. I also have a pfo dual hqi pendant setup and last I have a giesemann 24" two T5 250w hqi fixture.
Now I know the spread of a single 250 isn't enough for 36" coverage so using the giesemann isnt my favorite option. I would love to run 2 halides but 500 watts of halide over a breeder is a lot. And that's without supplementation.
I have 3 new Phoenix 250 bulbs so I really want to use them but I may have to sell them and get 20k bulbs to lower par.
Oh, heat is no big deal for me, I can manage it.
That all being said help me decide. If you have a breeder and pics please post!
A. Two pfo pendants 250w Phoenix and two or four t5s
B. two pfo pendants 250 w 20k (Ushio or xm) 2 or 4 t5s
C. Get another ballast and run 6 t5s
D. Your suggestion?
This is an SPS dominated reef with hood and sump.
