building acrylic sump

I'd be interested in the 1/4" After much online research I did notice that "cast" is the best. AND, how cool if they can cut all (if they keep straight edge, that takes the toughest part out of the whole thing) -- (I would think).

Yes the picture is a picture of jesses sump. I was just trying to give you a idea of what i was wanting to build. I am going to take the drawing to meyer plasticand and see if they could buid it at a cheaper price then buying one. I have a friend that is wanting to do the same thing. We thought that if there were more who wanted one built that it might be cheaper.

I still wouldn't mind trying to build myself w/ some oversight from u all on this thread. however, that being said, if they would build for reasonable price (and perhaps same design as u but perhaps at 20% larger scale), I mightb in for it. pls keep me posted.

acrylic sump

still debating on making own, however, wondering if you had any luck seeing if that meyerplastic place would build any and how much.
Thx,
Lee

Meyer plastic will cut the acrylic but they dont build them. That is the same place I went. They wont take on the liability that goes along with building it. They will cut anything you need though.

Yes lee, jesse is right' they wont build but they will cut your pieces.Sorry I haven't jot back to you sooner. I talked to them and they told me the same thing.
Good luck with your build.:strooper:

Frank and Mojo.
Could you both post your dimensions of your sump on here as well as the gallonage they hold (not what they would hold if filled to top, but rather what they hold during usage). I think, frank, you had yours posted on MS and said it was 30 gals. Fine details on those pics (dimensions) were unreadable.
Thx for any info.

Lee

My dimensions are 36"L \14"w\14"t and each divider measures 9"\ 7"\6" not sure if that is a true 30 gallon just a ball park figure.
