Just a comment on the Marco Rocks. Maybe it differs from batch to batch, but I really under estimated the amount of organics in the rocks. They looked clean on the surface but when I placed 200 lbs in an old tank to cure, the water was yellow for months. I skimmed and changed the water periodically. If I was to do it again, I would probably soak the rocks in a bleach solution in hopes it would break down the organics faster. Just something to think about.
The rock is great, but I think the cure process can take a while. But then again with your skimming power, maybe it will not take too long at all. It would be a good test.

Folks, I know I've been a little lax about posting for the last couple of weeks. I do apologize, and intend to turn the trend around, starting today. 
So, first of all, I picked up a couple of new toys.
This is an OzoTech 200mg ozone generator with air dryer. I like the use of the RO canister as air dryer - very simple and practical. They are mounted on the wall above the skimmers - although I haven't decided whether to inject into the skimmers directly, or use a dedicated ozone reactor.
Tunze started to import enough of the new series 2 streams so that Jennifer at FAOIS (local LFS) managed to get my entire order of 6205s.
A while back, I also picked up a 7095 Multi-controller and 7092 Y-Adapter (which I can use to connect more than 4 streams to the controller).
So, first of all, I picked up a couple of new toys.

The new 6205s are quite a bit smaller than the old 6201s and come complete with a mounting magnet rated at 1 inch. The cord is 16 feet long - yeah!
I really like the new shape and the mount.
The clamp mount is very robust and allows very smooth adjustment to almost any position.
The power adapter delivers 24 volts.
The speed adjustment allows a variance between 30% and 100%.
I can't wait to get these guys hooked up an running - which shouldn't be too long now - FedEx just rang the doorbell - my rocks (gosh I love saying that) are here!!!

I mentioned earlier that I would be installing a frag tank and refugium (one above the other) against the wall opposite the display tank. I finally finished the stand that will hold the two tanks.
The legs are laminated from two milled (squared up) 2" X 4"s.
The platforms, or shelves, that the tanks sit on are made of milled 2" X 6"s, covered with 3/4" marine plywood. Once the wooden structure was completed I covered the outer surfaces with white Formica.
The 3 holes in each platform are for the overflow (2 each - 1 1/2") and returns (1").
I've left the underside of the platforms unpainted - I may change that.

The legs are attached using epoxy glue and 1/2" stainless bolts. The fuge will be 75gals and the frag tank 50gals - so the total load will be somewhere between 1300 and 1600 pounds. Hope that glue holds.

Tom try this http://www.fritzpet.com/nitrifying-bacteria/ It helped me out a TON when I was curing my Marco-Rock. He actually turned me on to it. He uses it all the time.
Tom.. Great looking frag and fuge rack!! I don't even think you need the glue with the 1/2" bolts.
By the way, you wouldn't have a older model stream that you could place beside your 6205 for a reference?
Also, IMO you should paint the bottom of the rack. Saltwater gets everywhere.

No, sorry - I don't have the older model. For what it's worth, the 6205 is quite a bit smaller than the 6200-6201.
I think your right, I'll probably end up painting the shelf bottoms. Should'a done it from the get-go - would'a been a lot easier.

Tom , i just read the entire thread. You have a keen eye for high-quality building!! and you've automated everything.
then why aren't you using a profilux controller? I believe it is the only controller that can control the tunze pumps like the 7095 can.
When will the fish get some water to swim in?
