? Building stand for 300 gallon

Could I build it safely out of wood ? This would be 6 feet long X 3 feet deep and 27 Tall. If so does anyone have a print to share.

The short answer is Yes, it can be done.

I would need to know the tank material to give you a solid design. Also, what level of skill do you have in woodworking would help.

The tank is glass and yes I do have woodworking skills and tools but I want to be concerned about the weight, instead of putting something together that I think ? may work.

Its all about proper load transfer, As long as you make sure that all of your load transfers to solid wood and not screws or bolts you will be fine. When people have problems it typically is because they transfer the water weight to screws or they don't have precise cuts and their stands end up out of skew. Wood carries the structural strength, just got to use it right.

Thank you all, RBU1 did you use 4 x4 ? A carpenter friend told me today that he would build it for me with 4 x 4 like he does decks ?
THis is a glass tan and I ordered it today which will be in thursday.
