It's nice to get going with this again. I miss the corals but hopefully the pretty fish that aren't reef safe will add some life and color.

I didn't get that eel. In fact, the tank is still going but I haven't fond much with it. 210 gallons with two percula's and a damsel now.

I ended up getting some Chinese led's with built in timers. I'll post pictures soon. I'm battling a serious case of cyano now!

What kind, I want to start LED's but there are so many choices I cant decide.

I bought the aquastar 165w lights with built in timers. I submitted an offer through eBay and we settled on $135 each.

I really like that I can dial in the color I want with the led's. I am noticing growth from the corals I have placed in the tank which is remarkable because the cyano went crazy once I started running lights again.

I've been battling it with weekly water changes and just better husbandry.

So far I'm happy with the switch. Having cool water with no fans is nice, too.

How about a 4 year update. Nothing has changed with the tank except some of the hardware has stopped working such as the skimmer and both vortechs died. We are moving in the next month and my interest in the hobby is gone so we are selling the entire setup. It was a great 16 years!
