Bulb not firing right away and possibly looking for a USED 14k or 20k 250w MH bulb.

Fish?
I finally found a buyer for my 72" light. I am shipping it on Wednesday and as Murphy's law would have it, one of my VHO's and and one of my metal halide blew the same day. These are on separate ballasts too so I think it's just a coinsidence (or lets hope it is). Anyway, I would be greatful to anyone who would either give me an old 250w MH SE 14k or 20 bulb or sell it to me cheap...or I'll trade you a frag. But I'm not dropping $80 on a new bulb just to ship it the next day.

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks, mike.

Ok, so after I finished panicing and posted this, I flipped the switch on my MH's again. First the two bulbs that I expected to fire did. Then 15-30 seconds later, the one that I thought was dead fired and lit.

What does anyone make of this?

Could be a loose connection on the bulb or an older ballast thats a little slower to fire.

All bulbs are secure and there are two ballasts within one big ballast for the MH's. One fires the middle bulb and the other fires the two outside bulbs. The one in question is on the left side. Both the middle and the right fire and light at the same time. Does it sound like a bulb getting ready to **** the bed or something else?

I already did...that's why I think it's the bulb and not the ballast. I'm just wondering if this is one of the first things that happens to a bulb on it's way out the door. I've never had this happen before.

So, I guess the question stands. Does anyone have an extra bulb laying around?

Mike, I have 2- 10K MH 250W SE XM bulbs you can have if you want to get them. I can bring to work in Bloomfield which is a little closer to you. PM me if interested.
