bulk reef reactor

i have a bulk reef gfo/carbon reactor and went to change the pump on it tonight and for the life of me i cant get the pump inlet to disconnect from the reactor connector, is the pump just jammed in there or am i missing something like some way its supposed to pop out

If i remember correctly, it uses a john guest fitting?
If so, you have to push the end of the john guest fitting IN while simultaneously pulling the tubing OUT. It can be a PITA sometimes, especially when connected for a while.

like stated above u have to push the fitting in while pulling pump off.

You really have to work to get that out..........have one and couldn't believe how difficult it was to take off!

I use an open ended wrench to hold the sleeve in while I pull out the pipe.

I use a pair of long needle nose pliers to span the fitting pushing in on the ring.
