Bulk Reef Supply GB? Gauging Interest

I'm thinking about setting up a Group Buy from Bulk Reef Supply (BRS) but for now I'm gauging interest to see if other NVR members are interested. Most likely placing order by the end of March.

If interested in the Group Buy. Please post what items you're interested in, BRS works on the "buy more get a better price" method so more interest of an item the better. So far I'm looking into:

Granulated Ferric Oxide Pellets (GFO)
BRS "Dual" GFO and Carbon Reactor
Reef Chili

If we get enough people to sign on board with them, their club group buy policy is pretty sweet. I think you need 10 members to order and we set it up as an NVR account. Then for a limited time period (7 days I think) each person is able to buy directly and get the lowest posted price available on the item. Since each member does their own ordering, there is no collecting money dividing out and delivering/picking up each order. You order, you pay, you get it shipped to you.

I'll contact Andrew over there and see what we need to do.
 
Here is what it says on their site. I have an email into Andrew and will call him tomorrow. Looks like we need 15 people to sign up to start but doesn't mean you have to order...who's in?

Group and Club Buys

This promotion is designed to maximize the discounts and remove all of the organizational hassle that normally goes along with a group buy. All you need is 10 people who want to buy at least one item from us at drastically discounted prices.

If that isn't enough we offer one more exciting perk: All club members who participate in the group buy will have their accounts upgraded to "Preferred Reefer" status giving them a smaller but permanent discount. The only requirement to be eligible for this Introductory Reef Club offer is that a minimum of 15 club members sign up.
 
It's A "No Brainer" I'm in.
That should make it about 10 so far.
Should be a cinch to get more members in on this.

Ok I spoke with Andrew at BRS. So here's the deal:

  • To initiate a group buy we need 10 people, any time after that we would need at least 15 people to make a purchase
  • Each person makes an account at Bulkreefsupply.com and would forward me the email they used to create the account along with firtst and last name (can be PM'd)
  • I send the list to Andrew at BRS by Monday and we will have access to the low prices from Tuesday to Monday the following week
