Bulkheads and Gate valves and other plumbing fittings

Hi,

Are there any place locally in the south bay area that carry bulkheads and gate valves?

Where would be the best place to get pvc fitting, unions, valves etc. I know Lowes, Home depot, OSH carry various pieces but what is available is sometimes subject to the specific location.

Where would be the best placed go for the most selection or alternatively what the best place to go for single stop shopping.

Prefer to shop locally so that I can get replacement in case I make a mistake. Like the time I glued on all the unions without putting on the screw cap. :headwallblue:

Neptune has gate valves and bulkheads. Not sure about unions.

Ewing Irrigation has a few locations in SJ. They'll have all of the valves and fittings you need, but they're not cheap. Not sure if they have bulkheads.

Also, I've found that Ace hardware stores oftentimes have lots of odd fittings that we can use on our tanks, especially SCH80 fittings.

I have always bought from amazon/ebay and online in general. If you are very picky about the designs then online I would say. For example if you want a non-rising stem gate valve 1", then they will have it in amazon. Limitless online. That's were I get mine.

If online, then Supply House is my go to shop. Generally cheaper and better than Amazon, and no need to search through tons of Amazon resellers.

Cool...thanks for all the responses. I'll stop by Ewing and check them out. Ace and the other chain hardware store a hit or miss, I've found. My theory is that the older the store the more likely I am to find what I need.

I don't mind getting online, but it nice to have a local source in case you need an extra part mid construction or in my case when I cut twice and measure once.
