Burgess Butterfly, anyone own one?

I saw a Burgess Butterfly at my LFS yesterday and promptly had them hold it for me so I can set up my QT. I've done some reading on this fish in the past but was wondering if anyone had first hand experiance keeping this fish. Thanks. -Steve

I've had one for about 8 months, it died during my holiday. The first few days it did some nipping on sps, thereafter: reefsafe. I've never seen him nipping lps or clams. I must say, I feed quite a lot, so that might also help.

Adapting to captive life was -in my tank- no problem, soon it ate everything from pellets to frozen foods. Of course, keep in mind every fish is different. So, maybe I've had luck. I have already ordered a pair of these... :)

Anyone else have a Burgess? I just introduced mine into my display this past Friday and it seems to be doing quite well. It is out-and-about all the time and has no problem fighting for its fair share of food come feeding time. I'm very happy with this fairly rare fiind! -Steve

This butterfly and related species usually adapt very well to captivity. I have personally not owned one, but many on here have and hopefully they will chime in.

I have two. great fish, very hardy. Mine loves mushroom corals, zoanthids, chalices, favia, and clam. Other than that they are model citizens.
