Burrowing wrasse with shrimp goby pair.

Good morning folks,

Just wondering whether it's possible to maintain a wrasse that sleeps in the sand with a shrimp goby pair?

Is it reasonable to assume the answer is no, since the wrasse may collapse the tunnels made by the shrimp?

Thanks for your time,

It'll probably be fine. Worst case, if the Wrasse does try to sleep in their den, causing a collapse, the pair will just burrow in a different part of the tank.

Wrasses tend to sleep in the same place every night (at least those I have kept seem to), so disruption is likely to be minimal. Pistols also build their burrow network under the rockwork where the wrasse wouldn't sleep anyway.
