Buying a repaired Ca reactor

I'm looking at buying this Korralin 3002 Ca reactor for $200, but the seller just notified me of some repairs that have been done. He said he put too much torque on one of the plumbing fittings (looks like a union) and then repaired it with superglue. He says he's used it since then and it never leaked. I have absolutely no experience with Ca reactors. Is this something that could be a problem? Ideally, I'd like to replace the part. Are parts readily available for these reactors?

Here is a pic of the repair job:

You can buy the fittings i think at marine depo. But they are a little expensive. I have repaired mine using weld-on 16 and it worked very well. The reactors are under a little pressure but it is a piece of mind thing. If it does break on you i would try to clean it and use weld-on, Thanks

IMHO, I would be very reserved about buying the reactor. The repair job, not to good. They should have used a Weldon product designed for PVC. As the last post said, they are slightly pressurized when operating. If you could replace the broken piece, then no problem.
