so, my sister decided she was hot lst night, so when i was sleeping, she came in and took the fan i had blowing on my tank that i had set up before i went to sleep.
and it got too hot and killed two of my corals,
my happy place is definatly gone.

That would easily put me in my bad place :(.

It will help int he future put a list on your door about rules around the tank a.k.a. no smoking or putting hands in without washing with water. No feeding unless You ask them. And especially dont mess with equipment on or surrounding the tank.

I found when i lived with siblings that unless it was very clear about some simple things I would be unable to keep a tank.

Im very sorry to hear of the loss, Im sure we can all help get you back to that happy place soon : )

yeah, i am getting a fan today, so it wont happen again, i hope that the corals that are just closed right now, and not dead, will open back up,

How hot did it get?
My tank used to regularly get up into the 86 ish range... and my corals never did that

i dont no, it got 93 in my house,
3 heads of frogspawn with green tips are completely gone,
4 heads of green frogspawn, with pruple tips, are one there way out,
and 14 heads of hammer coral are not looking great either. oh and a kenya tree died
: /
but all my zoas are ok, the clam is fine, and the fish and anemone is ok too.

Yes, get the dead stuff out.
And expect an ammonia cycle to take place again.
And expect your nutrient levels to jump up from whatever they had been at.

This is a prime time to check your ammonia, nitite and nitrate levels in your tank.
And do water changes to compensate.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

yeah thanks, it just kinda sucks, since my tank was already bear, and now its like $200 worth of stuff is gone, and the money situation with my fam right now isnt good, so its like : /

Well, if your tank has an ammonia sppike, they will likely die! So first, you should start monitorig your tank water parameters. Get ready to do some large water changes if needed. (up to 50%). Just match the temp, ph, and salinity to your existing tank water and you should be fine.

The dead stuff needs to come out.

Questionable stuff could survive, but only if you keep up your water quality!

There is a big difference between retracted or closed-up corals and dead, lifeless corals.

Keep the hope alive, but double up your preventative maintenance.

ok, i am going to check everything right now, but here are the picks of the two corals

one is green frogspawn, the other is hammer

and this is normally like a baseball size

doesn't look dead to me. You don't have a thermometer in your tank? If not one should be bought before any coral.

It's gonna be stressed not dead... if it was at night your tank wouldn't have even hit 90...
JMO but everything should make it
