I just purchased a 75 gallon tank/stand/canopy set and brought it home today. Did all the plumbing with the help of a good friend.

This is will mostly a zoa garden...with the occasional LPS/SPS.

All equipment i got so far is the Sicce Pump Syncra 5. Planning on getting the Bubble Magus Curve 5 skimmer and AI Vega or RapidLed's Onyx Leds

Here are some pictures:

Looks great. Whoever this sump builder is needs to show himself. Im sure he will get lots of orders.

Great simple plumbing, congrats.

IMHO though you should have put a union on top of the check valve. They tend to get dirty, and sometimes just give up. A union wil help with cleaning and replacing. Truth is i gave up on them long ago. I prefer my sump to be big enough to accept the backflow and not have to worry about a malfunctioing check valve.

Keep up the good work and pics!!!

Looks good!!

But your going to have to maybe raise the canopy or cut areas out of the top to be able to have the led units higher off the surface for spread mainly IMO

I rebuilt my canopy to make it taller, will also help with air flow to reduce the heat of the light fixtures, again just my opinion

I would start with dry rock. Its cheaper and pest free. Then seed it with a few small pieces of live rock and you should be good.

Also look into securing your aquascape with hydraulic cement. I can't tell you enough how stressful and painful it is to create a stable structure that doesn't collapse all the time... at least for me... :headwally:

Sump looks really nice! However, I thought silicone and acrylic don't mix. Curious to see how it holds up. Looks amazing!

Looks slick, but I am pretty sure that the bend in the overflow hose will cause pausing in the flow, noise and possibly locking causing flood.

Great looking sump as everyone else mentioned. I like the contrasting colors lol. I'm interested to see how it runs (slow flow or fast). I would consider running mechanical filtration on the water entering it for fear the slits in the PVC will clog. They just seem like it would be a pain to clean once gunk starts to get in there. This could also affect your skimmer due to fluctuating water levels.

Regarding Rogger's comment, you can get spa flex from Home Depot and plumb the overflow straight down into the sump if you are against rigid plumbing.

Looking forward to the rest of your build.

Thanks for all the comments! For everyone that asked by PM the sump is custom to your size and specs and costs $150 without the acrylic front or $200 with the acrylic.

The hose will not stay that way...i am still figuring out if im using a sock holder so we didnt "finish" the hose...might use pvc straight down

I am between using a sock holder or a to design a custom "shelf" for filter floss and CPE for mechanical filtrarion.
