Hey Roger,
Got my pump about 2 weeks ago. THis is probably a user error on my part so i just want to pass a few things by you since the directions for the pump can be a bit confusing especially if this is your first time. Just to make sure, the tubing with the non return valve goes on the botton of the calcium dispenser which i purchased and the tube that feeds directly to my sump goes to the outflow on the top of the calcium dispenser. Im assuming I set this up correctly. Secondly, ever week I should dump the water thats in the calcium dispenser, put a few teaspons of kalk back in and fill the entire thing with RO water, let it sit for 30 minutes then turn on the osmolator. What im finding is since i shut my osmolator off since i ran out of RO in the bucket the water level in the sump went down. When i turn the osmolator back on, the sensor doesnt recognize that the water level is below it and to turn on. I have to get some wave action in the sump. Im assuming if the sensor is in air and there is no optical interference, the sensor cant react to turn on the pump. Is my assumption correct? When the pump does turn on, it turns on for a minute but no water pumps out. I turned the pump over to get the air out of it and I can feel it drawing in water, but on top of the calcium dispenser there is still some air and there is no water exiting the tube that goes into the sump.
I hate to overload with questions, but your the expert in this field. Before I add kalk to the dispenser each week should i dump the ro water in the dispenser or can i just add it to the water thats already in there from the previous week?
I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
