co2 keeps building up at the top of my calcium reactor and anytime iot does the water stops coming out. is there an easy way to fix this?

its an aquamedic 1000 calcium reactor

I had the same problem with my RX1 reactor. This is what I was told to do Take a small powerhead and put the output on the output of your reactor and push water back thur it this should clear any trapped air / gas in the system. Just courous what is you co2 flow rate how many seconds between bubbles? Mine sets at 1 bubble per 3 seconds..

i have a bubble ever second...i think i got it buy putting a lil back pressure on the reactor seemed to stop the air from building up, but ill let it run over night and see

First what you should do is start the reactor up and let it run for a few hours. Get your effluent rate set and try to run your effluent rate a little faster then normal like maybe 40 mil a min. once you have your effluent rate set and thing seem to be owrking good start to add you co2 bubbles. I would start your bubble rate at about 10-15 bubble a min. Then watch you alk and add more bubble per min depending on if your alk drops. One thing I have learned is if your effluent rate is to slow the outlet valve will get clogged over time. How are you feeding your reactor?

I ran for a week before adding co2 n I got my alk right where I want it butt then the effluent would stop flowing...so last night I put it on a maxi jet 1200 feed pump. And today i looked at it and there was a massive co2 bubble maybe its juat this reactor?

What's the recommended effluent flow for that reactor? Usually when the effluent flow is to slow the valve gets clogged pretty frequently.
