Calcium Reactors or what?

I dont know which way to go about keeping my cal and alk in check. First, i have 90 gal with mostly sps, not real big, but growing. A few lps. I have been manually 2 part doseing. If i buy dosing pumps, and go that way. Will i end up buying a cal reactor later. Or what about Kalkwasser reactor. But again. will i end up needing a cal reactor.Would like to just buy it the first time.

If your sps load is small then you could try adding kalk to your ato. That would be my first guess and then go from there.

No you can go either way. I switched between a reactor and dosing pumps on my 500g system, both worked but I prefer the dosing pumps at that time. In the end it's a matter of preference. Both reactors, and dosing pumps are scalable to whatever size tank you want.

Kalk with a dosing pump used as top off could work for a while, but if you really grow them out you will probably need to invest in a couple dosers to keep up. As stated, you can go either way. I've used both systems on different tanks. Quicker setup for the dosers...more investment and longer learning curve on the calcium reactor. I'm currently using a reactor on my SPS tank and still have the kalk doser going at night.

karsseboom, you reccomended adding kalk to your ato, what would you reccomend for me if I'm not running an ato?

You can just set up a gravity fed drip system for adding the kalk

I use my Korallin calcium reactor and run a kalk ato at night too seems to be the best idea anyways... alk and calcium seemed to stay put.
