calculating power consumption made easy

I do not remember seeing this here, so I thought I would share.

I am a geek about energy efficiency and energy conservation, so I recently bought this...

It is basically a power consumption meter, that you plug into an outlet, and then you plug whatever you want to measure it's consumption into it.

I already figured that I am spending about $11.42 per month on electricity for my tank. I know you can guesstimate with the power rating on your appliances and equipment, and I had done that in the past, but this gives you actual numbers.

There's an even newer version that you can input into it your power company's $/KWh rate, and it will give you results in $, but with this one I did that by hand (well, actually and excel spreadsheet)

I just plugged it into my garage fridge, I suspect that one is a power hog.

Anyway, I am in no way related to them, just wanted to share a gadget that I find cool, and I know every so often people come up with the question of how much power they are consuming on their tanks.
