Calling all ATi T5 owners/ experts

Hi guys, I've just bought an ATi sunpower 6x 54w lighting unit.

This light is for my 4x2x2 upgrade tank. I am aiming to keep 95% SPS
My current tank is a 3 footer LPS & has a 14k BLV 150w halide unit supplemented by an all blue aquaray.

What my question is to you is what are the best coloured tubes to buy ie x-amount of white, blues, purple, pink????
I have not a clue what is best to keep a range of SPS & what brings the colours out of the corals

You'll get a lot of different opinions on this one. For me,
I'd go with 4 - ATI B+, 1 - ATI P+ and 1 - GE 6500. You'll get great PAR and great colors.

I know, I thought that when I wrote the thread.....

It's all a personal choice but I know you guys over here have had ATi units a hell of a lot longer than the UK
We are only just seeing Maxspect LED light units coming into the country & you have had them ages.

I want good PAR reading & a nice mix.
I know of someone near me had an ATi unit 12 months ago & I know he had 1 purple & 1 pink tube in his mix but dont know what else he had

4 ATI Blue Plus, 1 Purple Plus and 1 GE 6500k

Those are all really good 6 bulb combos.

Those are all really good 6 bulb combos.

Agreed! I run 4 Blue +, a fiji purple, and a blue special...will try the purple plus next time...the GE is a bit yellow for my taste...but all are good.

I like the combination alot, it's a nice crisp white.

The 6500 will bring out the yellows, the P+ will bring out the Reds, and the B+ is for overall coloration.
