Calling all Erie, PA reefers

After speaking with people here at RC and with the encouragement we are getting our own club going. We will have our own fourm here at reefcentral. once we start this up and running and agree on a name we can build our website.

What i am looking for right now is email addresses of other reefers so the mods here can inform you when the fourm is ready. will take like 3 days after we give him the info.

If there is anything we can do to help you guys out, please let us know. Once you get organized, we should also consider sharing speakers and co-hosting events. We have done some of this with Cleveland, and we could just as easily all work together.

thanks for the encouragement. i am so so so new to this and right now just trying to get people together from the erie area to see if there is enough intrest. im sure there will be.

im building the website right now and its coming along just fine. once that is complete i will ask both LFS if they can promote it to let people know about it. i hope so i really want to get this going.

i also want to attened a meeting or two in pitts and cle. so i can get the fell of what goes on. like i said im new to the hobby and dont know much about clubs or anything like that.

You are welcome to come down for a PMASI meeting. The next one is this coming Saturday. The speaker is Adam Blundell and will be well worth the trip.

Adam thanks for the invite down this weekend. unfortunitly i wont be able to attend. i coach a pee wee football team and we are in the middle of a playoff run. we have a walk through on saturday at 4:00 for the game sunday.

You and any of the Erie folks are welcome any time. We would be especially glad to have you in December to hear Anthony Calfo talk as well as participate in our year-end "Mega-Raffle". It will be a great talk and there will be lots of good stuff to win.

Bill and Chuck,

PM one of the mods. They may be able to help you track down all of the Erie folks. They may not provide you with the list, but may be willing to PM them on your behalf.

In the mean time, chat with Steven at Sea Cave (Tell him I said hello!) as well as buzz 'n bees and your other stores and see if they will let you put up some info.

Last but not least, consider trying to get a piece in the lifestyles or similar section of the Sunday paper about starting the club. A few pretty reef tank photos and a couple of good quotes is all you really need to get folks attention.
