Camera for Christmas

I have never posted a picture in this forum....I do come here often and just lurk in the shadows....I see so many beautiful shots that I just feel unworthy!!!!
Anyway, my wife and Santa gave me a Nikon D300 for Christmas. I decided to post a picture I took with my new toy.
I used the D300 w/ a 105mm micro lens mounted on tripod.

Not bad at all, the D300 is a nice camera You've got a good lens too.

Did you turn the pumps off in your tank? It looks to me like all the polyps are blowing one way, so probably not.

If you want to get really clear pictures, turn the pumps off and wait 5-10 minutes for the current to totally stop, then you'll get some amazingly clear shots if you keep using that tripod.

Those colors are nice, green fading into blue. You have some great equipment as well! Good luck with it.
