can 9004 outside magnets be in water?

I have an all in one IM Nuvo 38g rimless with a new Tunze 9004 skimmer. unfortunately the skimmer just barely doesnt fit with the magnets facing the back because of the little lip on the tank overflow section. In order for the magnets to not be seen can I have the outside magnets in water? The Magnets attached to the skimmer are not sealed or coated, so I cant see why the magnets usually on the outside of the tank would not be fine inside the water.

Yes they are fine to submerge. Both halves of all the magnet mounts can be underwater
