Can a large brittle eat small fish?

I'm missing a yellow clown goby and my mandarin. Here he crawls
up the snails but one rarely sees him.
Usually he's in the rocks but his arms come out for food. I think hes
big enough to grab those 2 fish.

His body is larger than a silver dollar.

O yes that sucker will eat a fish in my opinion. I think they say the blue ones are less likely to eat a fish but I have no idea why. I stopped putting brittle stars in my tanks a few years ago. He will get them when they are sleeping. :)

Should I be feeding him? I've had him probably like 6 months. Hes always fended for his-self. Hes grown pretty big since I bought him.

You should definitely be feeding it. They have to eat. Something that size could definitely eat a fish, which means it needs more than just tiny scraps to eat.

mine caught and ate my yellow tail damsel....mine was the black white stripped variety and about the same size as yours...he resides in my sump now, where he is fed shrimp pellets and mysis shrimp, plus what ever else makes its way down there...

I fed him yesterday. Wish I had videoed it. Was a piece of raw fish size of a large pea. put it close I thought he would grab it with an arm. He didn't respond. So I put it right next to his mouth. Slowly he sucked the piece in. My Girl was watching and said Wow This is like a horror movie lol. His mouth opened pretty big. Gonna be feeding him 2-3 times a week now. Thanks all for the info. Don't want anymore missing fish. I suppose now he will be getting larger....

So I have fed him 4 times now. He's taken up residence in a cave in the rocks. Stays in the same area and is ready for feeding time. I'm going to start feeding him every other day. I'd like to try some pellets for him as well. His arms are so dexterous he puts one out and collects mysis by rolling up around, several at once. Very very amazing. I thought about putting him in the sump like NanoReef did, but I'm thinking I'd rather have him topside where the haps is. I just keep him fed maybe he won't eat anymore of my fish. Again much thanks for the info.
