I may be relocating to the great white north, specifically Thief River Falls. Can you give me some info regarding the area?? Anything would be helpful. Don't suppose your club reaches way up there?!?

Hey Mr James all I can say is a very small town in the middle of nowhere. Their are a few reefers in that area but not many. Minneapolis/St Paul is your closes area for good livestock and it not that close. Sorry to paint a dim picture We do have a small club in Duluth.

Thief River Falls is 240 miles from Duluth. It is a fairly slow drive. You are a hundred miles closer to Fargo. The twin cities is much farther...over 325 miles. Jim is right...you will be in the middle of nowhere. Fargo may be your best bet if there is a club and stores there.

I do plan to set up my tank again, no matter where we live. I guess I am going to get real familiar with on-line vendors. As far as a club goes, maybe I'll start one in a town with a population of 8000. Maybe I'll be the only one in town with a tank. On the flip side, if there isn't anybody to trade corals with, my corals will grow out of control.

Don't get us wrong you'll find some reefers your just looking at moving to a remote part of the state. We are in the brown coral area, sort of at the end of the line and get last pickings in our LFS. On-line vendors is the way to go although you overnight service might be poor in that part of the state. Keep in contact and we'll do what we can to help. We have good contacts for the best prices you'll find on tanks and stands anywhere.

No joking, I just received this in my Explore Minnesota newsletter:

The National Guard Armory in the city of Thief River Falls will be the site of the 11TH ANNUAL THIEF RIVER FALLS GUN SHOW on Saturday and Sunday, February 3 & 4, with a wide variety of guns, baseball cards and coins for sale and for trade.

Welcome to the area! ;)

(Honestly, we really are a bunch of nice folks around here!)

Don't welcome me yet. I haven't accepted the position. Thanks for all the replies, I really appreciate it. I know you're a bunch of nice folks, I love and miss the Mid-Westerners. Florida is a strange place to live. Red ants and killer snakes in the back yard and the threat of hurricanes is a little much for me. Cost of living is one of the main reasons for my relocation.

Hey, what kind of accumulation do you guys get up there?? Am I going to need to get a 4x4??
