Would really also appreciate if you could give info pls :rolleye1:

I am nt sure wha the first crab is, but the seccond is a very large predator hermit crab. Hairy hermits usually are. I believe i have seen the first hermit in wilflife footage before.

Either way i would say they are both predators and Definatly NOT reef safe.

The second hermit looks very much like a Dardanus Megistos aka white spot hermit crab. Max length I believe is 15cm making him one of the largest hermits. Mainly comes from Indo-pacific. Not reef safe.....but will eat aiptasia.......along with fish, shrimp, clams and jellyfish :)
Do I get at least half a cookie ???

1st crab is a large hairy hermit, the second is a white spot hermit. Take both out as I am willing to bet the 1st will eat corals and fish too. The white spot gets very large, and will eat anything it can get, including fish and coral!

firstr looks similar to the giant carribbean variety. camocustom is right. Most crabs are scavengers (there are the odd filter feeders and predators) and will eat whatever they can. If that means they have to pick apart your prized corals or attack your favorite fish, they will if they can. In general I stay away from crabs of every sort, especially the ones that get big.
