Can bta's recover from a small scratch/cut on the feet?

A friend gave me a bta and I noticed a really really small cut/opening. I mean really small, I am wondering if the bta can heal that wound? Its clones of at least 3 generations from that friend's tank I picked up from. It has expended and has not shown signs of spewing guts or opening mouth. I am not familiar to if btas can recover from small cuts/ open wounds.

If your water quality is good, this shouldn't be a problem. BTA's often recover from an all out disaster with a powerhead. A little cut should be healed in no time.

Ah thanks for releaving my anxiety. I was worried something bad might happen to it. Would it be a problem if its already got clowns swimming around in it? It expends and accepts food.

Thats good to hear that btas are that hardy. I heard this a while back but I somewhat don't believe its possible. Someone told me that you can cut a bta in half with a knife and it'd heal and become two? I know I've seen it done to a carpet but a bta?

Wow thats pretty small to be chopping up a rbta. But I am glade its doing fine for you. BTW how long did it take for the chopped up guy to recover?

I've always thought that messing with a nem like that would surely kill it. Since people talked about messed up base = dead.

But very interesting.
