Can clownfish sunburn?

I've got a pair of true percs.

I started running a 250W halide 4 weeks ago.

It seems that the tops of the clowns has really darkened up. I've also noticed that the seem to stay under the rock work more.

Is is possible to sunburn these guys?

its possible..but percs do get a lot of black on there backs and sides as they get older

This really isn't black. Its like the orange has turned into a burnt orange. I'll try to grab a picture.

Fairly common...many people have noticed this kind of coloring happening on fish that are this particular brand of orange. I've heard of it on both clowns and flame angels.

Doesn't seem to hurt the fish, and I don't think anyone can say for certain that the lights are the true cause.
