I have a coral banded shrimp and just got 3 small cleaner shrimp.. Will they be ok in a 150 gal.. Just concerned about those pinchers on the coral banded shrimp...

I used to have a very large coral banded along with several peps. Never once saw them even look funny at one another.

I didn't have any problems with a coral banded, two cleaner, and a fire shrimp in a 60. They did give it a wide birth though.

The biggest problem with CBSs would be other CBSs. I have kept lots of other shrimp with them and had not a single problem. Even in small tanks.

I do have to point out that you really need to do research before you buy living things. It's just wrong to buy animals that you have no idea how to care for. If you don't care what you kill in the name of laziness at least consider your wallet. All you need to do is ask here first.

my cb was fine the 1st couple of years then he went psycho, anything he could catch he would eat, i had to take him out of the tank.
They are know to eat what they can catch, might not happen everytime but i wont ever keep another one in my tank, plenty of other shrimp to choose from

Alrite herb-a-vore... i really need to point out that you should prob keep your personal assumptions to yourself your information i have a 150 and a 54gal.. the coral banded shrimp in the 54... And the cleaner shrimp are in the 150.. I was just asking incase later on i decided to move things around..no matter how much research you do sometimes for certain things every situation is diff.. Next time dont ASSUME.. Your trying too hard.. Do less .

Actually, I thought Herb A Vore's advice was dead on. I don't think that it was being assumptive from the OP and your sig to assume that they were going into the same tank. There are enough similar posts on here, that it's actually good advice and worth saying, if someone hasn't heard it before...
