Can I add a yellow tang?

Will a yellow need more room, and will it have issues with the kole or any others?

I would speculate the yellow may get aggressive with the kole.

I actually meant yes you should do it - responding to the initial question. 125g is more than big enough for a yellow and a kole. And yes, the kole may be aggressive at first, but it's your tank. If you want a yellow tang, get one. You could always remove it if a problem arises. There are hundreds of reefers who have kept multiple tangs in a 125.

She knows she "can" get one. She is asking if she should. That is known as practicing good husbandry. I don't know about Fishmommy, but I would never want to add a fish that I had to worry about catching again.

While the odds for success (anecdotally) favor tanks where the CBB was added first, there are still numerous reports of a yellow tang not coexisting with a CBB. Also, in a minimalist aquascaping, there are likely less places for the weaker fish to hide.

I'm starting a new 135(72x long) gal reef minimal as well. I'm thinking of getting a kole,yellow, and blue tang together. If So should they be introduced at same time? I only have pair of clowns atm.

I agree. CBB can be very timid and yellow tangs are generally aggressive, especially once established. A longer tank would increase odds for success.

...... and success with a Copper Band is much more interesting than a Yellow (ptewee) Tang.

I have to apologize. When I read the post, I thought it said "CB", which I've seen stand for coral beauty. So, yes, I would think twice. I tried adding a copperband to a tank with an established yellow tang. The yellow was not having it. If the concern was the kole tang, I would do it, but I didn't see about the butterfly. Sorry.
