Can I dip a Yuma in iodine?

The reason is to prevent any disease/bacteria/parasite from getting into my tank............yeah I know, QT, don't have one setup right now. It's just one yuma, not aquacultured. Do I use the 40 drops of lugols like you would with a acro? Sorry this has probably been asked before? Thanks.

And the answer is..........................apparently. I did it last night, same as you would for SPS, it got slimy but looks fine today, and even looked fine an hour after the dip. I'll assume this has been discussed before and was the reason for no response. It worked out fine, so I guess it really doesn't matter. If anyone else is questioning this.......it worked for me. Red yuma BTW, kind of risky but it was at wholesale and small = cheap :)

I wouldn't have, but it doesn't really matter all that much. Like some said in that thread it isn't needed. Also wild-caught ric's are harder to keep than aquacultured, so if it were me I would of just temp acclimated and dripped for an hour or two then put it in the tank. But it's already done.
